Current Projects 

The Out of Our Heads Arts Collective is currently developing several multidisciplinary projects that amplify women’s voices and explore powerful personal and social narratives. Current work includes the animated short film Red, Torn and Mended, based on the graphic memoir by Hungarian-Canadian artist Ildiko Nova, which recounts her childhood in Soviet-controlled Hungary and her journey toward freedom and identity. The film adaptation is being developed for submission to international film festivals and human rights organizations. 

The Collective is also producing Outside the Fog, a storytelling project created by Ally Lane that examines the hidden dynamics of coercive control and narcissistic abuse through survivor stories and expert insight. The project includes a narrative podcast and a new stage play, originally workshopped in Calgary as Fan Club, which will premiere with a six-show run at Inside Out Theatre in Calgary, October 13–17, 2026.
