Everyone has a story—but knowing how to shape and share that story can feel overwhelming. Storytelling for Beginnersis a welcoming, creative one-day workshop designed to help participants discover their voice and learn the core elements that make stories meaningful, memorable, and powerful.
In this workshop, you’ll explore the fundamentals of storytelling, including structure, character, emotional arc, and how to transform personal experiences into compelling narratives. Through guided exercises and supportive discussion, participants will learn how to identify the heart of their story and communicate it with clarity and authenticity.
We will also explore the many ways stories can be shared today—from stage storytelling and theatre to podcasts, writing, and digital media. Participants will gain insight into which medium may best suit their story and creative goals.
Whether you’re interested in sharing personal experiences, developing material for performance, or simply learning how to tell stories with greater confidence, this workshop offers practical tools and creative inspiration to help you begin.
No writing or performance experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore your story.Email us for upcoming workshop dates. info@outofourheads.ca
